Michelle Houser was born in Stokes County in 1960 to John and Thelma Simmons. Throughout her life, Michelle has encountered many obstacles. Nevertheless, she counts them all as blessings because she knows that God was just making and molding her for her ministry. As a young woman she gave her life to Christ and has not looked back since. In 1981 Michelle married Joe Houser. In May 2007, Pastor Joe Houser opened Disciples of Grace Ministries in Rural Hall, NC. Thus Michelle Houser has been elect lady for three years.

Moreover, in 2007 Michelle received her Bachelor’s degree in Christian Counselling from the Piedmont College of Theology. Also, in 2008, Michelle was certified as a Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault advocate. Through her work in the community and through W.O.W., Michelle Houser put her degree and certificate to use with volunteer service to nursing homes, community homeless shelters, rape crisis centers, and domestic violence centers.

Michelle ministers the gospel of Jesus Christ through inspirational speaking, prayer meetings, and Bible Study in W.O.W. and within the community. She has also hosted several successful Christian banquets and conferences in the Winston Salem area. These occasions have brought her women’s ministry to over 800 women in the triad area. God has given her a vision that encompasses the responsibility of befriending, teaching, and mentoring women from all walks of life. Michelle Houser diligently works on earth as a leader in Women’s Ministry to bring a sweet aroma to her Father’s nose.
